These stunning buildings of ancient culture in many countries have survived to this day, and some of them are still used for their intended purpose. Of course, not for gladiatorial battles, but for mass celebrations and performances. Let's look at the most famous of them!

Arena di Verona (Verona, Italy)

This beautiful Roman amphitheater was built in the 30s of our era, but just look at how excellent it is! Even more than that, it can rightfully be called one of the best-preserved ancient structures of this kind. Previously, people watched battles with animals here, and gladiators shed blood in the arena, but today it is a unique concert venue with special acoustic properties. Amphitheater of Pula (Croatia)

In total, there are only six amphitheaters in the world, which have preserved all four main towers. And the ancient attraction of Pula, whose appearance is attributed to the period between 27 BC and 68 year of our era, among them. In modern Croatia, large-scale concerts and performances, as well as military rituals, are held within its walls.
