Why flat-faced dogs are the most miserable four-legged pets

Owners of some thoroughbred dogs do not even suspect how hard the lives of their pets are. According to veterinarians, dogs of these breeds have a list of diseases characteristic of them, due to which their owners regularly seek veterinary help. The fact is that a specific deformation of the skull leads to the fact that dogs belonging to such breeds have breathing problems since birth. Shortness of breath, in turn, leads to problems with the cardiovascular system with all the ensuing consequences. These dogs are hard to run, they quickly get tired on walks and are forced to constantly breathe through their mouths. Due to the lack of physical exertion, another problem characteristic of such breeds appears - overweight and related problems with joints. Veterinarians also note that it is dogs with flat noses that most often suffer from night snores.

Obesity is a typical bulldog problem

In addition to all of the above problems, dogs with flat faces due to deformation of the jaws have a malocclusion. This feature, unfortunately, leads to diseases of the teeth and digestive organs.
