Iran is a country living by its own, tough, sometimes shocking and creepy laws. Despite the fact that people under the age of 18 are not allowed to be sentenced to death by an international convention worldwide, death sentences are still imposed on children and adolescents. Thus, they are punished for robbery, drug trafficking and murder.

To begin with, children are sent to special correctional centers. Convicted to the death penalty are here until adulthood, after which the sentence is carried out. Some still manage to avoid the most terrible punishment and after "re-education" to re-enter the wild.

Khater is 13 years old. She fled home after being raped by her uncle, and a week later a girl was attacked again in a Tehran park. Now there were several rapists. After undergoing treatment, Khater, according to Iranian law, was placed in the cell of the Juvenile Correction Center for attempting suicide.

Six months ago, 16-year-old Nazanin was arrested for possession of cocaine. At the moment, the girl is awaiting the final verdict of the judge.

17-year-old Zahra was caught for theft for the third time. Now the mother of two children is serving a sentence for the theft of mobile phones. In prison, the girl lives with her youngest child, who is allowed to stay with her mother until he turns two years old.

The 17-year-old Maskha wanted to marry against her father’s will. After another quarrel, the girl in a fit of anger stabbed her father with a kitchen knife. The death sentence for Maskha is demanded by her brothers.

Saugan, 16, was home alone when police raided the apartment and found packs of opium, cocaine and heroin. For possession of drugs belonging to her father, the girl has been in prison for about a year. None of her relatives have yet been found.

Shokufeh 15 years old. Together with a young man, she tried to rob a shop in Tehran. The guy managed to escape from the impending police. And the girl now lives in anticipation of her 18th birthday, followed by the death penalty. A year after the incident, her grandmother came to visit Shohufek.

Mashid will be free in 8 months. At the age of 15, she is serving a term for drug trafficking. Together with the girl, her parents are in prison for possession and use of drugs.
