20 unrealistic paintings by a South African artist that cannot be distinguished from the photo

Artist Jono Dry grew up in the small coastal town of Hermanus in South Africa. It was here that he first picked up a pencil, and a few years later his paintings appeared at the city exhibition. Today, his work is known far beyond South Africa, and his style is easily recognizable. Jono’s paintings are more like pictures of a professional photographer, they are so skillfully executed. But no, no photoshop, all this is done in pencil.

Jono is very attentive to details, just look how carefully each picture is worked out: you can look at the wrinkles on the mother’s hands for a long time, each eyelash and eye pattern, drops of water and attractive bends of the human body. Such work requires a long drawing, so Dry works on one painting for several months. In his works, a surreal plot, where reality is one with the absurd.
